The Packerbox Hostel - Batununggul

We had a fantastic stay at Packerbox in Nusa Penida. the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always available to answer any questions we had. We also appreciated their recommendations for places to visit on the island. the hostel facilities were clean and tidy, with comfortable beds and a cozy atmosphere. the garden and terrace were lovely, and the WiFi was reliable. The location was convenient, close to the Sampalan port, with plenty of restaurants nearby. Cons: Couldn't stay longer 😔.

Disorganized Staff.

The staff at the hostel were incredibly friendly and helpful, always greeting me with a smile. They even offered me a refreshing glass of cold squash and a cool facecloth upon check-in. I really appreciated the large secure box provided, as well as the towel. the air conditioning in the rooms was great, and the bathrooms were clean and well-maintained. Another advantage was the delicious breakfast provided each morning. Plus, the hostel had free drinking water available, which was a nice touch.

One thing to note is that the location of the hostel can be a bit challenging if you don't have a scooter. It is situated down a track that has barking dogs at night, so if you're walking, it might be an inconvenience.

The staff were pretty good, arranged transportation and activities, clean and private beds, fair prices, amazing owner.

I stayed at the Packerbox Hostel for 5 weeks during my trip in Indonesia. The family who runs the hostel is incredibly kind and helpful. They went above and beyond when I had a little accident on my scooter and treated my injuries with care. The location of the hostel is perfect for exploring, with the night markets nearby and private pods for a peaceful night's sleep. The bathrooms and capsules are always sparkling clean, and the breakfast is delicious. The staff creates a friendly and positive atmosphere, making my stay unforgettable.

Would definitely recommend this hostel.

As a solo traveler, I really loved the privacy and quietness of the capsule beds at this hostel. the free breakfast, towel, and huge electronic lockers were a great bonus. the staff was incredibly kind and helpful, especially Dewa Umar and Ulan, who assisted me with reporting my lost wallet and spreading the word around the island. the hostel's cleanliness and good hot water in the bathrooms were also impressive. Highly recommended!

Felt like home, nothing was too much trouble.

Clean, modern capsules with good lighting and chargers. Newly renovated with a nice garden and terrace. Very helpful owner, even gave me a ride on his scooter. Definitely recommend.

best hostel i've been in bali. clean, comfortable bed and delicious breakfast. amazing staff who went above and beyond, gave rides and explained balinese culture. even got to be part of a cremation ceremony. truly unforgettable experience. highly recommend if you want a real balinese experience.

They went above and beyond to help me when I got sick, even staying with me at the hospital. the beds were comfortable and private, like little capsules. the rooms and bathrooms were clean, and the air con worked perfectly. the location was convenient, near the jetty for the boat ferries. the free breakfast was delicious.

Some of the staff weren't as amazing as others, and there was a miscommunication about the transportation fee to the port.

Staff provided transportation and shared Balinese culture. Lovely pick-up service, delicious breakfast, and affordable menu. Solo travelers will meet new people. Clean facilities and enjoyable stay.
